Don't blame you for not wanting to get rid of the boat oil, but that space just begs for the hunt print. But maybe it needs a wider frame? It's hard to tell in the photo just how it might fit in the space.

If the oak trim stays, the green on the wall will make the oak look even redder. Here is the quiet moments. Maybe install drawers under the window and eliminate the dresser. What is the purpose of the soffit. If it's not hiding something, maybe consider not building it. Consider refinishing the bedroom set. You'll never get to your inspiration picture with all that pine.

I think I prefer layout #1. #3 is okay, but I don't typically love a bed under a window unless there isn't anywhere else to put it. Your room is quite large, so I don't think the corner layout gives you any advantage. (I once read where someone, maybe here, said something like "show me a bed angled in a corner and I'll show you someone who didn't measure their furniture before buying it." Right or wrong, now I think of that every time I see an angled bed!) I think it would be nice to have a couple of chairs at the other end of the room, if you think you would use them. Or maybe a long window seat with some storage in it. Or a desk? Or craft table? I know you're experimenting by laying out your comforter on the floor, but if you got some of those moving discs, you could quickly and easily slide your bed over to that other spot under the window to see what you think. You could even sleep there a few nights to get a feel for what it would be like. We did that in our last bedroom and it helped a ton. By the way, I also have that Soleil duvet cover. I have a collection of covers as we use just the cover with nothing inside in the summer, and I change them out a lot since we have cats that spend time on the bed. Anyway, two things....I have other Pottery Barn duvet covers that are much smoother fabric and they wash much more nicely. Straight out of the dryer they are smooth and soft, and don't have wrinkles, and they have never shrunken in size. The Soleil is kinda scratchy, and wrinkled quite a bit, even though I washed on gentle and dried on low, and removed while still a bit damp. I spent quite a bit of time smoothing out the wrinkles with my hands. Much more of an aggravation is that the cover shrunk. The pre-washed size was generously sized and perfect for our king bed. The freshly washed duvet cover is now too short on the sides. I typically LOVE my PB duvet covers, but this one, being scratchy, wrinkly and shrinky, not so much! So be careful with the washing/drying, and if you end up not liking this one, try another. I don't buy much else at PB, but I do truly like a lot of their bedding.

A near match is a miss. Make a deliberate choice for something different, like these light colored pair of chests, or a light colored chest with a dark top. Also.
