Trim and paint help for Kitchen/den remodel

J M

I could really use some advice.

We are remodeling our living space which includes taking out the center wall of a 1960's ranch, redoing the kitchen/mud room/den/fire place. The cabinets are slightly cream with a dark blue island. The house is north facing and dark so we put in skylights and a picture window in the kitchen.

I have to pick paint colors by Monday. We are debating on a natural gray. We can only use Sherwin Williams paint. Gray choices are: Agreeable gray, repose gray, crushed ice or big chill. Also either alabaster or pure white for trim/ceilings/built in cabinets.

I can't decide how light we should go on the gray paint color. Also should we match the cabinets with alabaster or go with a white. Would alabaster make the house too dark on a large scale? I'll post a few pictures. Also floor stain suggestions? We have a mix of red and white oak.
