I like them all, but not number 2, but maybe that one will work for your taste- it's just not mine. I really like 3 and 4 (the one your husband likes).

I have a 10 ft island that is placed off center and perpendicular to the pitch ceiling of my kitchen. There is a beam running the length of the ceiling at the apex. To hang 3 pendants centered over the island, one of the pendants has to be hung from the other side of the beam. Is this ok? I haven't been able to find any pictures online to help. Thanks!

HELP please... Placements of the pendants..... The pendants are not centered with the island. I have two options from our builder: Move the left one further out to match with the location of the right (closer to the edge of the island). Doing this would not space out evenly over the whole island because there would be more open space between the two pendants lights. Move both pendants over to the left to centered over the entire island? Doing this would make the right one be very close to the recessed light. oh, but I have some people advice to remove that one middle recessed light (I think it would probably look best), but my husband and I are not ready to lose a light right now.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts. I do need to keep the sideboard where it is. However, I forgot to mention that I will be painting it the same colour as the wall, and will be back painting the glass in the doors to hided the stuff inside. The room will look less cramped and busy. I tried moving the table to be centered under the light, and taking away the end chairs to do so. It looks quite crammed down at one end of the area when I do that. So I don't think I will do that. In reading your comments, I am reminded that I need to keep access to the current location (per my original electrician). So I will need to cover with an electrical plate, and not patch it to cover over. I think I will pay to have it moved in order to keep the simple, clean minimalist lines of the light fixture.
