Hey, this is the house you purchased in this colonial antebellum style. For what it is, the details aren't terrible. All the finishes and colors hold together well, and the landscaping is above what we typically see here on Houzz.
Even I looked up Judge's Panel on Google and don't see how panelizing the gable makes for a better appearance.
You can dabble around the edges of the house and refine details
You can eliminate the big pediment gable on the house so the porch is not quite so hulking in appearance. Those slender columns under the gable look like they are barely thick enough to hold it up. Looks like the gable is decorative so it could go.
Be careful what you do because, in an effort to 'modernize' this style of home, you can really ruin it without much effort
