Designing functional spaces

I'm tired of seeing designed spaces that look like no one has ever used them. Can we please see a remodeled or designed space in use? Like, a family making dinner in that new kitchen, or the laundry room being used, or the bathroom with someone brushing their teeth or something? The proof of a design is in how well it works in everyday life, not how it looks in a photo shoot. Could Houzz and other outlets please look for "real life" or "candid" photos to show us that kitchen with a pot of spaghetti, a salad-in-the-making, or a batch of bread being made?

    Here I am in my kitchen ... I did make changes to the design after I "walked" through it!

    The functionality of something can be quite a personal choice, so I don't think adding some random "models" to the photos is going to tell you anything about how it would work for you and your family.

    Changes I made after "walking" through my 3D model: no cabinets on window wall, switched prep sink to other side, moved fridge to end of that run.

    Have money in your budget to get some 3D modeling made of your actual plans. "Walking" through your own custom plan will be the only way to determine how functional it will be for you and your family.
