Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me, I want to create a finish like the attached photo for my kitchen countertop. I have already put down marine grade plywood, but I am not sure what to put on top to make it safe to use/heat/scratch proof. Should I use cement backer-board? Then I want to paint on top with a gloss paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
