We are looking to landscape our backyard into a nice Topical/modern look or into a Tuscan/Mediterranean look. Not sure what plants we can use for Tuscany look in zone 10A (St. Pete FL) Tropical plants are what most are using in our area, but we like Tuscan/Mediterranean as a second option.

We started by removing all old hedges, weeds, vines and shrubs to leave us with a blank canvas to start. Majority of the landscaping will used to cover/mask our white vinyl fence line and give our backyard some more color and depth.

We have a L shaped backyard around our screened in pool area. One side being about 95' long and 25' wide and the other about 85' and approximately 22' wide.

We have a brick patio that we would like to incorporate with an outdoor cooking area and covered area for eating to help with the Florida heat in the summer.

We are interested in any landscape design, pointers, help, etc for this project.
