Most people here will tell you that shiplap has sailed.

I certainly can't see putting it on one wall and then covering that wall with the headboard and art (although some may think that is better than having to see the shiplap).

I'd rather see just chair rail, or maybe chair rail with some smaller detail (or even beadboard) below than to see shiplap.
