kohler faucet assembly

I have a kohler artifacts touchless faucet that was acting up. I have since found info on adjusting the sensitivity so the indicator light no longer stays on when the faucet is turned off. The problem is that while trying to figure it out, I disturbed the bonnet nut ? on the lever handle and now it won’t go back on properly.

There is a rubber o-ring that it goes over but there are no threads that I can see to tighten it. There is a wierd protrusion on the inside of the nut. how does this thing tighten?? thanks

2. Expand Installation & Service Parts
3. Click 'Service Parts Diagram'
4. Note that the handle is tightened by Part number 1059613 which is covered by Part Number 1219282

Thanks. yes, that’s the faucet and the exploded view shows the parts I’m seeing. But the nut doesn’t appear to have threads on the inside, and I can’t see how it stays on. I loosened it, thinking it had threads, but didn’t take the lever off. Now it is just pushed on over the o-ring, and doesn’t tighten when turned. I didn’t remove the lever handle, so it wasn’t completely off the faucet, just not in place. May have to take it all the way apart to get a better look.

I don't recall the name or model number - but I bought the top of the line Kohler a couple of years ago because two previous faucets had plastic parts or covers & pieces broke off with just normal usage. I went to Lowe's & asked the salesman for a faucet that had NO plastic parts - he showed me the Kohler & although pricey I bought it & love it. You do not have to hold down the spray button feature on this model it stays as a spray until you change it.

I am ready to throw the thing out the window! I have a Kohler Revival high arc kitchen faucet, about 3 years old. Recently changed counters -- and when I reinstalled the faucet, started severe leaking -- where the spout turns on the flange. I ordered new gaskets and a new bushing from Kohler (the only parts that can be replaced) -- the order took over 6 weeks to get here! Installed them today -- and the leak continues. It seems like a very poor design. The spout assembly screws onto a brass shank that contains the diverter -- a little too loose -- and leaks, a little too tight -- leaks as well. i'm afraid i'm going to hijack. please forgive... claire de luna, have you found a reputable source for chicago faucets? i'd like very dependable, basic faucets for secondary baths and i think i've found that in chicago. TIA! and, i like the look of the chicago faucet a lot better than the kohler. the chicago doesn't seem to be trying as hard to be contemporary and cool. it is what it is.

i have the delta trinsic with no problems at all. i love the faucet but what really sold me on delta is the customer service. i have a 15 year old house with builder grade delta shower faucet hardware. i called delta because one shower handle was cloudy and they sent me a new one immediately. i also called to get a new spout with the same wonderful cs and part sent for free. i am a delta fan!

I presume that the nut just presses on over the #43167 O-ring and the M4x25 screw (part #1059613) holds the handle on.
