I've just done a quick weeding of the mixed hedge and noticed that one of my Crataegus laevigata 'Crimson Cloud', which should be getting ready for winter, has decided to put on some new growth and flowers.

The Hollies, which have been spasmodically flowering most of the year, are still at it.

To cap it all, one of the hollyhocks has decided that it wants to flower. NOW?? Shooting up with buds aplenty.

They are all as confused as me.
