I never watched NCIS, my husband's favorite show but I loved him in The Man from UNCLE.

I had the biggest crush on him when he was on The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

We got the biggest laugh when watching an early episode of NCIS when Kate asked Gibbs, "What did Ducky look like when he was younger" and Gibbs answered, "Illya Kuryakin."

Lindsey, DH and I got a kick out of that line too. I hate to hear of his passing. He was a unique actor and filled a couple of niche roles that will endure.

I always liked him. He owned Man from Uncle which is so typical. Who cared about poor Robert Vaughan? 90 is not a bad age.

oh my, one of my favorite actors. Bless him for so many years of entertaining me.

Awww. And what you have all said, I couldn’t have said better. I almost sent my sister a text to tell her, but she is getting off a plane any minute now from a wonderful vacation and that does not need to be the first text message she sees.

Yes, some losses hit you harder than others. Never watched NCIS but absolutely loved him in Man From Uncle. Rest in peace, David David, and thanks.

I'm sad to hear of his passing, but I'm glad he lived a long life and he certainly made good use of his talent. I remember him well as Illya Kuryakin and loved him as "Ducky" on NCIS. I think he will be remembered with fondness by a great many people, and for a long time.

When I was a kid watching Man From UNCLE I wanted to be a spy when I grew up. I can't keep a secret to save my life, so it would have been a very short career!

I just caught up on NCIS, and he was making an appearance right up to the last episode. I was wondering about his age since he was looking less vigorous. I'll have to go back to be sure, but I think in one of the last episodes they name checked Ilya Kuryakin again. ( I also had a crush on him back then - I was in 7th grade IIRC).

I was a kid when he was in the Man From UNCLE. He gave me the heebee jeebees. I never understood why but never watched anything with him after that. RIP Mr McCallum.
