Osmocote Plus.....first year (2024), planning to use it exclusively.

I intend to use Osmocote Plus, 6 month feed, next year, and hopefully have to use no other fertilizer all growing season long. My questions are:

1. Does anyone follow the above plan, exclusively or primarily?

2. How much do you apply for, let's say, a mature Austin, Olivia Rose? measured in cups, please, i.e. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, or 1 cup per Olivia?

3. I have a layer of 2-2.5" medium (quarter size) pine bark mulch on my rose bed. Can the Osmocote be spread upon it and watered in to get it partially down to soil level, or do I have to scrape the mulch away from each bush to make soil contact with the Osmocote? I am afraid that just spreading it upon the mulch surface will fertilize the mulch through their absorbing it, and not fully feed the roses.

4. If you fertilize exclusively or nearly exclusively with Osmocote ( supplementing with some other fertilizer as only a supporting help, not primary), are you pleased with your results?

My goal is to make it as easy to fertilize my roses as possible, yet maintain good results. Thank you for your input!
