We’ve completed our house plans and noticed after the fact the ceiling over the first stairway landing will be 7’. Would it be better to change to a two story foyer that would be open about 5’ deep and 11’ wide. Ceiling height throughout the house is 9’.

is a 7’ ceiling going to be noticeable in this small area thats about 4’x4’? My impression of the two story foyer is it may feel awkward with it not having much depth.
