I am doing carrera and selecting the "white" from Aristocraft cabinets, the only other choice I have is antiqued which was very yellow. The white just looked better next to my sample, but I can see how you could pull it in with paint colors and other items in the room. I am more of a gray/blue/green girl myself. deb52899 I am interested to know why you would do all marble if you could to it again. I was going to have different perimeter counters but I am being pulled to do all marble. Your kitchen is beautiful!

Hi Jade BR. We are in Mountain View, CA. Somehow our marble slabs were much cheaper at this store (MSI International) than marble slabs at other stores. I think calacatta costs more in general. Also, the price I mentioned above did not include fabrication, so that's something to keep in mind. Total cost including three slabs, fabrication, honing, and sealing was $10,068. Thanks everyone! Yes, there was so much drama. :) Now we are happily just living in our kitchen and so happy to not be remodeling!

I have not had soapstone myself. Friends who have report it is easy to deal with. It looks good waxed/oiled and not. I could pet their counters forever ... but as they say, I have issues :-) Take a look at the stone and see if you like it. I think a natural stone is a better mate for what you already have than a quartz product.

For a crisp, snow white, we recommend Brittanicca. Swanbridge is beautiful (attached is a photos of the design used in Wit & Delight's studio,) but it too is a bit more off-white than the others you have mentioned. Any other questions?
