Hi all! I’m at the tail end of a full gut rehab and need help finalizing the kitchen. I have white perimeter cabinets with honed cararra marble counters already installed. The island cabinets are walnut with a grey tinted stain.

I’m considering carrying the marble slab up the backsplash and doing a pure white quartz top on the island so I can save a little $$$ and have a 15” overhang on the island for seating. the matble slab is 2cm and can only support a 7” overhang. Would love any thoughts on whether the countertops would go together or clash. I can post pictures of the in progress kitchen tomorrow.
