Hi all. We bought a house that was built 3 years ago and the flooring tiles were failing. So we had to remove the bottom kitchen cabinets to get to the flooring and we have an opportunity to do new countertops. I am at a loss. We are looking at a wabi sabi zen style, and we hope to incorporate this honed black fortress quartz, but am afraid it may be too much.
Do we do just the island and the rest something else?
Do we do the perimeter in black and the island and area behind the stove differently?

The countertop vendor is awesome, but they don’t have a designer, and I don’t exactly know what to do.
