looking for a bar stool kind of like this

Hi--I'm looking for a bar stool (true bar height) sort of this style, but preferably a tiny bit nicer (no exposed screws, real cane, better wood--although this one comes in black which is also okay).

This is at Target and is really cute. It's also very inexpensive and I'd probably order a black one so see how cheaply made it is if it came in the taller size I need.

But it doesn't, so if you know where I can find something similar, please share! (You can get Cesca bar stools from Knoll now, but they're just a smidge too metallic I think.)

Kind of similar: this one from Article has a cane back but a padded seat. FWIW we ordered a different style (this) from Article and are very pleased with the quality and the packaging - arrived in perfect condition.

Here's another one, no cane back but it has a woven cane seat (and I think the back is kind of cool):

We purchased this barstool from a local dining & stool store. Our base is black with a tan suede seat. Absolutely love them! However, we paid $180 for our stools. We wanted something that was on the contemporary side with black to tie in my husband's electronics into our decor. But they also needed to blend with our antique furniture. Since there are just two of us, we eat primarily at our island bar height counter. However, if we every have more than 4 for company, I wanted chairs that could be used with our counter height tressle table. These chairs are extremely comfortable and very solid. I never feel like they are going to topple. Thanks cork2win for the link to this site. This is a keeper.

Here's an unfinished one. You can order it with the Sea Grass seat, as they call it. I wonder if that term in a search would bring up more. I looked in all my usual places (target, yankee whatever, shaker something, carolina rustica, plow & hearth...) earlier today and came up with nothing. Thank you Countrycottageklutz! I really like that one! I am going to do some more searches to see if I can find any reviews on that company's products- quality, etc. The bottom part of the one you found has an orb look but hard to tell from the picture if the top is more red? The name says "Rust" but as you know there are so many variations to colors. Maybe I can try to find a local dealer that carries this line. My other concern is how deep the stools are. As I said in my original post, my overhang is only 11". The one stool I liked was 25.25" deep- that seemed large for my bar! The one you found is only 22.25" so that is a little better. I may put another post out for members with raised bars and see how deep their stools are. Thanks again for your search- it was very thoughtful and I REALLY like the stool you found!!

I have been looking and looking online. I wanted something cheap as I've already exhausted my budget. I tried out the ones at Ikea and they were lacking in quality. We went to a local store to just try out different ones and ended up ordering from them. It was more than I wanted to spend, but they are such great quality that I couldn't resist. I'm happy with our choice. We got to choose the finish and fabric and they are really sturdy and comfortable and even LOOK better quality than the cheap ones I was looking at online. We are lucky to have this store that all they sell is chairs and barstools, but I guess what I'm saying is to go out and try some. My husband wanted no back, I wanted a back and no swivel because I was afraid of the back banging into the counter. We ended up with a padded back with a swivel.

Thank you both for the suggestions! I'll check these out and run them by the spouse who has thoughts. (I also kinda like the one you got for yourself, Chicagoans--that would probably look good in my kitchen! There is a reason I've been without stools for so long. I am all over the place.)

I'm looking for something that won't fight with my old kitchen set which is at the other end of the room. Maybe that's why I keep looking at boxy stools instead of curvy ones? It looks like this one below but with plain green seats. I don't need it to match but I'd like it to agree. The stools would be at a walnut island so I want something either contrasting or...walnut? I think. Maybe. Probably not oak.
