Help with window treatments for Victorian bay windows and picture rail
Comments (9)First off you have beautiful home and congratulation on your new home. I'd suggest going to the floor if you're going to go with curtains on these window and if you're okay with going above the picture rail i'd suggest that. Going above the rail will just add height to your room. 1/4'' is going to be too narrow to do an inside mount. If you like the idea of having some of your trim show you can always mount on your trim, but just don't cover it all. Honeycomb and roller shades would be good pairing options with curtains. A roller shade will project out farther than a honeycomb shade.... just something to consider. If you're open to suggestions on an alternative option consider an Illusion shade. They have a modern look and give you versatility with light and privacy. The illusion shades are beautiful on their own or look nice with panels as well....See MoreNeed help with window coverings- triple windows in a bedroom
Comments (8)What is currently up there are just temporary/paper shades 😇 We had honeycomb shades there before which were very similar but my son “mistreated” them and they would not go up and down. I was thinking of replacing the shades. So I thought honeycomb (even though he broke those before), roller shades, Roman shades, or maybe even wooden blinds. He does not want curtains and he does not want a single shade all the way across (even though I tend to think a single shade would look nice). Thank you!!...See MoreNeed help with window treatment for 14 windows in Dining/Living room
Comments (7)Hey There: We suggest that you go with blinds or shades for each window individually. A window treatment must be functional at first and looking at your pictures, the new tenant needs privacy and light management. I assume that the bottom window blinds will never be used in the first place but they will allow for light coming in and for privacy. Comments (3)What an awesome room! I think woven shades would look great in there. You could get top-down-bottom-up for all of them, or just for the side that needs it, and then get matching cordless shades for the rest. I would do outside mount and treat each window as one. It doesn't look like you could do inside mount, correct? But that could look busy anyway since you have so many windows. You can get them lined so you have privacy at night, and so they look nice and uniform from the outside. I've ordered lots from Blinds.com over the years and have been happy with them. If you want to really splurge, you could look at motorized shades from Hunter Douglas....See MoreRelated Professionals
