Please post a pic of the entire bush, some info about where it is growing (geographically), some info about where you got it & how old it is, a pic of an entire leaf showing all of the leaflets, a pic of a hip if you can find one, and a pic of an open bloom (that one will do), and a guess as to the diameter of the bloom (it is hard to tell from pics!). I love the shape of the almost open bloom, and the color is luscious. Is it fragrant? All of this info will probably get you some good guesses as to who it might be from the folks on here.

It is from a post on a neighborhood page so i do not have a lot of information. Decribed as hot pink. Thank you!

I would soak overnight and pot it if you want to grow it on and find ID eventually.

Stupendous flower on that, whatever it is!

If the roots are as small as they appear to be, as you are soaking them, cut back the 'above ground' part by 3/4. Those roots can't possibly support that many leaves. If you have a dry cleaners bag -the kind they use to protect newly cleaned clothes- drape it loosely over the bush to keep the humidity up and put it where it gets dappled sun or less.

I have left the top growth and trimmed off any dead bits later. I let the plant decide what it can support after gophers ate roots. There were less roots than this rose here.

The plants retained their full size for the most part and are doing great.

The bloom spray suggests Eutin that I've seen around here. There may be several roses going by that name; the one from Alabama had sprays of 20+ blooms.
