Our such great ideas guys! Stacey your work is amazing. It's easy to see you have a lot of experience with this type of thing in addition to being very creative! You had so many great ideas I wish you had numbered them so I could tell you which ones I liked :) I do love the one with the closet access from the bedroom. That is such a neat idea. The one that you came up with in the last post and the one that is almost exactly what Cori described really sounds like a grand option. It opens up the space so much and like everyone is saying, a beautiful bathroom space is probably more valuable sq. footage than an office. I do prefer having the WC in it's own room. It really makes the bathroom seem much more clean and tidy, in addition to making the closet in the bathroom seem more welcoming. Maybe we can do a little pocket door into the closet to provide some space. To answer some questions, the vertical wall on the left goes to the interior of the house, as do all walls except for the wall wear the window is. I agree if the closet was slightly soffetted it could allow for high shelving. We could keep a few items that our out of season there and it could potentially look as if it was done like that on purpose. I really like the third picture you posted too. It is a really nice layout with a nice size closet and a semi-private WC. But the last one is definitely the most attractive! I will certainly have to think on that one and let you know! You should be thinking about who is going to buy your house later when you want or need to sell it. A shoddy renovation will turn buyers off and they will run from your house. It's okay to have some inexpensive finishes....laminate countertop, etc but shoddy work is a sale killer every time. If buyers see shoddy wk in one area, they will assume that it is like that everywhere. Plumbing is a very important aspect of a home, and should be done correctly. Save some $ on countertops, etc, don't skimp on something important like plumbing. You might save some $ now, but will regret it later. Good luck on your Reno. Post some pictures. As you can see, these are pros commenting on your post (I am not). These particular pros are very well known on this forum for their good sense. Since you seem very focused on simply choosing the tile (and do not seem interested in changing anything else in this tiny space), I think that if you want something just to be an improvement over what you have, and you are worried about aesthetics, then you need to re-read my response above recommending that you take the hallway laminate sample to an actual tile store for help in person. I stand by my advice for a neutral, warm color with matching grout. And yes, I do agree that this bathroom is due for a total re-do. You have to actually SEE the tile in person. Even if you order from the internet, you should see a sample first. And your floor area is so very tiny, that almost any tile you choose will be reasonable in price. If price is a major concern, then perhaps you can also consider a simple, white solid sheet flooring. It would be easy to keep clean, and probably the easiest to install (I'm told).

Sativa has a good idea for a high contrast design but I might be overwhelmed too much dark black. It would need the balance of lighter floors and the natural light from the windows which could make it stunning. I bought the same pebble tile at our local H H Restore to re do our tiny shower. I want bright white tile like your subway tile but hubby still wants a large format porcelain. The mix from the pebbles can work with many things. Remember when it is sealed the colors will deepen to what it looks like wet. You could use a midtone like the charcoal grout for your floor tile if you are keeping the walls lighter like a warm white, tape or grey from the pebbles. If you go with dramatic black walls, you need a lighter grey ,taupe or warm white for balance. With either color scheme choose a basic floor tile with a bit of texture to prevent falls. A rectified porcelain with touches both cool grey and warm whites and taupes would work with lots color schemes. Keep in mind you may change your style in a few years. So pick a classic with lots of options. It will be easier to change a dramatic paint color than a busy tile pattern.
