I promise to read more myself - but selfishly can you tell me where I should be looking//what is most important to deduce in terms of the lead testing? I see Signature says "some (but not all)" .. So assuming that is the issue? Comparatively - does something like Kingston Brass seem to check those boxes better? I see for them: Certified to Joint U.S./Canadian Standards. of Safety, Reliability & Durability (ASME A112.18.1CSA 125.1) Certified Lead-Free and Drinking Water safe. (ANSI/NSF 61/9)

I love that kitchen! And that rooster. I'm dangerously close to going overboard with the roosters. That granite looks a lot like mine, with the dark stained island that others were suggesting! I wish this kitchen had hardwood floors, then I could really see how it would all go together!! Great find! The pendant light is Chadwick by Landmark, 13" oil rubbed bronze pendant, from Destination Lighting.. It's on back order until July, but I bet you could find it somewhere else? I tried a quick google and struck out, but I think a little research would pay off. I just took this picture at the house: I know the lighting is bad because it's dark and stormy here, but I think the wall color goes with the granite well. Am I color blind? The other chip is the cabinet color and the wood is our future floor. Input on colors is so appreciated! Thanks for all the help already!

That site definitely has very very similar things. I can see how maybe those brackets were once brass - all the original brass doorknobs are still there, and have a similar appearance. Obviously the old brackets have been painted, but that could be done to a new one. I'm going to look around some more and try to find a double-rod version... anyone with similar links or hints feel free to comment! Thanks!

Plast Pro is cheap crap as is Jeldwen. Look into buying the Thermo Tru from a real lumberyard or at the very least a window and door specialty store. As far as Schlage vs Emtek I firmly believe the Schlage is an excellent lock. That being said it depends on the series you purchase A series is excellent, F series not so much as it is there low end line. But just to make myself clear I would not purchase any doors for a home from Lowes, HD or any box type store. Maybe a shed and even then I would be hesitant.
