We have open shelves in our coffee bar area in our home. We used similar wood tones on the cabinets and floor. Like below posters, I am not a fan of the open shelves per se and only put them in because it was the only option we had with our builder. The glassware that doesn't get used often gets very dusty. I'd rather do something different with the top shelf but I can't think of what to put up there. Whatever it is, it would just be for looks. Redwing pottery maybe.
