Light Fixture for Kitchen Table in Breakfast Nook
Comments (25)Hi Newbie! I've wondered what happened to you! Haven't seen you over in Kitchens for a long time! First, congrats on expecting a baby! Exciting! You're on the right path trying to tie up all these loose ends before May. Have you thought about posting over in Kitchens also? So many there have heavily researched lights that someone may have seen the perfect fixture for you. Plus, I know everyone would like to see your progress. :) When I saw that first WE fixture, I thought of a Barbara Cosgrove pendant I like. It echoes the shape. I'll link it below. You might look around for other lights on that site, too. Some of them get into the $$$ range though. I don't care for the mod WE glass cluster you just posted. How far apart would the peninsula and banquette fixtures be? I'm thinking that you might want to scrap the peninsula pendant... Comments (36)I think the sink opposite the range is fine. But I don't think there's enough refrigeration looking forward with a growing family. Now perhaps this is just me -- your desires and needs should be paramount. You're taking down a wall and combining the kitchen and dining room. LOVE that! Very smart. But then there's a tangle of chairs and stools around the island. The table is a few steps away. That makes no sense to me honestly. I see it all the time and think it might be so much better to build an island with storage and prep and additional refrigeration features -- things that even the kids can use as they grow. If they do their homework or art projects they can use the big table. That lovely bay window is practically ignored! I'd look to use that with a window seat built in and a mom chair nearby....See MoreNeed help complimenting island pendent lights w/ breakfast nook light
Comments (2)Yes, where you see the bulb hanging down in the nook is what I'm shopping for. I'm thinking a diameter between 15-20" for a light over the table. The table that will be going there will likely be rectangle measuring somewhere around 34-36"x42" A chair on each end of the table....See MoreHelp coordinating kitchen island pendants and nook area light.
Comments (3)The size seems fine but we'd need a width of the island to be 100%. Over the kitchen nook, I'd use something different but has the same feel. The size coordinates, not to the other pendants, but to the table. A 6 ft table would look odd with a 15 inch pendant nor should a chandelier be larger/wider than the table....See MoreRelated Professionals
