Hi folks,
Our kitchen island (planned at 9 ft) is aligned to the edge of the slider. If we reduce the size to 7 ft, we could center it to the slider with comfortable allowances for foot traffic in the space. We don't need the extra 2 ft of storage, and to my mind, 7 ft is plenty of island for the space. Contractor wants to build largest island possible and a designer who looked at the space also feels that larger island is possible. I would rather have more open space and have the island aligned so that someone looking from outside sees the island within the slider space. Any thoughts? Sorry for the small photo, it's the only one I have right now.
