    After a lot of searching, I think this is a pickle/relish dish. I am aware I can do whatever I want with it. I just wanted to know the original purpose of it.

    Connecticut Yankee, I never heard the term nappy before. Turns out that I have a pink depression glass one that I use to hold fresh rose petals from my rose bushes.
