Hello! We just built a custom home and, while it is incredibly beautiful, the area around the front door is just off. I should have pushed the builders harder for a drawing to scale, unfortunately.

I’m including some pics of different angles of the house so you can see. I think the front door is too small, and the windows around/above the door are too large for the scale of the house. The thick black trim around the door is also not ideal.

At this point we can’t make any changes to the actual build so I wanted to see if you had any advice on small cosmetic changes to help distract from the scale issues?

Possibly paint the trim around the door, lighten the door stain color, add larger pots next to the door, etc?
