Wintering a recently rooted hosta

When I separated Revolution to remove an all green eye, I broke off a piece of Revolution. I put it in water not expecting much. But it rooted eventually. So now that it’s going to freeze any day soon, I don’t know what to do with it. I’ve planted it in a small pot and it’s in my garden shed. I’m wondering if it could stay in there for the winter. It is a heated space with windows. We keep it fairly cool, around 12C. (53F). I am aware hosta is supposed to have a dormant period, but I doubt it would survive winter since it’s just been put into soil.

It’s not a big deal, since I already have 2 Revolution, but it’s a pretty little thing and I’ve got it this far.

What do you pros think? I forgot to mention, I am in a very cold zone.
