Hello everyone,
I am new here and trying to install a new range hood. Please see the attached screenshot for my current layout.
The previous owner had the range hood vent install before and later on moved the range to new location, then installed a ventless range hood.
I wish we could move the range back to old location and utilize the old vent but that means we have to redo the granite countertops, as well as moving the dish washer and some other things around.
Of course, I don't want another hole on the roof.
A friend of mine said we could still use the old pilot hole by having the new duct go up from the range, turn right by 90 degrees, run to the old hole, which means we would have up to two 90 degree turns.
I wonder if that's the right way to do this.
