Just purchased an older log house and it has a seemingly small fireplace in the living room. We’re going to be installing gas logs because after the inspection they didn’t recommend burning in it. I really want to mount the tv, problem is tv is wider than the actual fireplace. We did purchase one of the pull down wall mounts with the thought of installing over top and pulling down so it’s not too high to watch. Size of the tv is not negotiable per the husband and teenage boys in the house. Fireplace is 60in wide, tv is 70. Suggestions on the ugly tile without removing welcome as well.
