Harvesting loads of butternuts, and one waits until they turn a rich tan color. But this one (on top) matured to be almost white! All the others in this crop are tan. Strange.

Oh, you can see the green streaks in the lower one that we talked about a month ago. These do tend to slowly disappear after picking.
