Gee, what good responses. BaaBaaRaa, my SDLM are great. My only problem is that one nursery confuses them with climbers, so I need to leave the long shoots until we have heavy rains, then separate the climbers from the regular rose. In the total scheme of rose growing, that is ok, but when they send 3 sprouts together, and I must take out 2, then that rose will not grow well with the others, and I need to complain to get another rose which they do readily send. (Most of my SDLM are in beds with each other.) They are magnificent. Thanks, Jeff. I am still thinking. If I do purchase from RU, I need 4 roses or the cost is prohibitive. Balling is not a huge problem with me. It gets so hot here, and the rebloom of SDLM is fast enough that I just snap those blooms and more come on. Sherry, Captitaine is tempting, but it does not seem to be available to me. THanks Olga. We have sudden bouts with black spot, but the turn around is fast, and suddenly the rose is clean. Often this happens in August as I go back to school and am very busy. Michael, I am still thinking about the MOP. I am wondering if others farther south have not responded because it does not like the heat or it fades. Last year we had weeks of temps at or over 100. Others will respond if they like the rose well. I do need to find 4 of their roses or it is too expensive. Everyrose, that is very helpful. Hey Judy! I just got mine last yr and it's in an 18" pot. It got kinda tall... about 4-5ft and maybe 3ft wide. Not sure what it might do in the second yr. I'm guessing it's going to be a pretty big plant once established tho.

Well, even thought I said I wouldn't get it because of its lack of fragrance - I got it. :0 My husband took me to a greenhouse and said that I needed more roses (no - you can't have him!). I didn't really, really want any of the roses there....but.....Wouldn't you get something? So I did. I got a bunch of smellies and I got Mother of Pearl. I'm looking forward to seeing the blooms. Glad to know that it's so highly recommended! Carol

hi threeapples, our troca shell tile has a special manufacturer applied water sealant. they are water tight and the surface is completely smooth and a very high gloss. looking at it, i can only imagine the fumes such a finish would give off. it seems ridiculous that a genuine shell tile would require this, but what do i know? it was manufactured for me for use in wet areas. i didn't want grout lines, and found out i couldn't get them anyway due to the sealer that is applied. where are you getting your accent tile from? they will know whether it is okay for use in wet areas.
