Angelonia, end of the season?

last year
last modified: last year

I bought Angelonia plants in August and they are still blooming but I'm trying to decide whether to keep deadheading to keep it blooming or attempt to collect seed. The individual flowers die from the bottom of the stalk up, so there are open flowers on the top but the bottom is already forming seed pods. So hard to decide when to cut the bloom off. And will I have time to collect seed before frost? And if I do, it is a hybrid, what kind of plant would I get?

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on Angelonia?
