Be sure to check out the magnification levels that will work for you.(perhaps at Bed Bath and Beyond, or your local drug store). I had cataract surgery and discovered that I could stand about a foot away from a 3x and see just right to apply eye liner. When I stand right in front of my sink, I simply turn to the right and there I am, with the mirror mounted at eye level. Anything larger than that was weird for me. I do have a separate little portable 10x for just plucking eyebrows. The lighted ones help, but you need other light sources, as those LED's aren't all that great. Hold a 3x, 5x, and 10x about as far as where your mirror would be mounted to see what works for you. With some there is a lot of distortion. -Babka

For me, everything I put in my house has to have some meaning for me, and I hope this has meaning for you, but for me it does not strike a chord. A beautiful painting, something that is art and not just some print that they offer in five different sizes, would give color and movement to this area, with something at each side of the console to hide the cord. A wider piece of furniture would have looked nicer there and hidden the cords, but I'm sure some solution could be devised to hide them.

I am not sure what your question is but I am having lit mirrors as well as sconces put in OVER a mirror that is running wall to wall - mirrors are being installed over the wall to wall mirror - if that makes sense. The electrical work all went in first and when the mirror guys came they templated it for the extensions and where the sconces will be. I am also installing wallpaper in my bathrooms but that is going in as the last item in any room. The wallpaper is just cut over whatever switches there are and the switch plates are installed over the wallpaper - some people do switch plates that match the wallpaper to minimize visual "breaks".

I no longer stand when doing makeup. It's partly an age thing and frankly between using the Beauty Blenders, contouring sticks, air brushing, lip lining, false hair attachments and now false eye lashes, all in an effort to look completely natural, you've just got to sit down to get this stuff installed. This week I received a device from Amazon which is supposed to zap by age spots and skin tags,......... so there is never enough mirror or light to do that right. I could never find a mirror that was large enough to please me until now. Here are two from Amazon. I purchased the large one and it's huge at 16x20, but I can do my hair in it also.
