As I sat there watching the tree attempt to encapsulate itself 101 times I thought a cross section of its trunk must be pretty interesting. And presumably difficult to count rings in with all the branches captured by it
Have any of you all seen a good trunk cross section from one of the wide phenotype metasequoias that got to keep its lower branches?
