I've been secretly saving money for quite awhile now for something for DH & I to splurge on.

Perhaps a trip, or an upgrade to the master bath area. Just something "special."

I had decided when I hit a certain amount, I would surprise him with the news.

Well, the goal was met! I told him the "plan" and how much was available.

For days we were going back and forth on what we were going to do.

A cruise, maybe? A trip somewhere? We even discussed the possibility of a new vehicle. We tossed several ideas around.

And then we discovered a crack in the ceiling. Well, the crack was there, but it was tiny. And now since we are in and out of droughts, and the soil in central Oklahoma is so crappy, it's gotten MUCH bigger and cannot be ignored.

So we are getting piers. More piers for the house.

Not exactly what I had in mind.

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself.
