The simple answer is “yes” you can do., but one little pendant seems to get lost. If you didn’t want to replace the track lighting I think it would look better to hang two or three pendants. I like Patricia’s advice to change it out all together but maybe you are trying to avoid the expense of hiring the electrician again. If that’s the case I would do two or three pendants and like Patricia said do a large picture or grouping of pics and focus the track lights directly on that area to get a nice effect.

As the table is square, I would use a single, larger pendant over it. (I really like the 19-1/2" diameter classic PH5 below; it's expensive but you can find inexpensive replicas in many colors on Amazon). If you wanted to continue to highlight the pictures on the wall with the current track heads, you could see if you could replace the existing flood bulbs with narrow-beam bulbs (example) which would focus the light on the pictures.

You actually should not need an electrician to remove a track and do a single fixture . The only issue will be patching the ceiling where the track might have been attached.

True, assuming that the electrical box to which the pendant light would be attached is in the correct location above the table...which it probably is.

I think learning how to do simple electrical work is kind of like learning how to change a tire on your car it saves money and is a great way to strat learning how to fix things around your home. Turn the breaker off then work make sure the wires are connect to the right posts pretty basic skills,
