here are some photos. sorry--it's a smallish bathroom with odd corners, so getting a good picture, even from out in the hallway, is difficult. from out in the hall toilet is immediately to the left of the pocket door. sink cabinet (undecided yet) but it is to the right. from the shower corner toilet isn't installed yet. i would like to make the "hole" an alcove, but SO wants it to be a closet with a bifold door. a dark grey bifold door. still from shower corner the brown door, which leads out to the pool, definitely has to be painted. he wants to also do it dark grey. the colors are really irrelevant. painting all the doors dark grey would be okay with me, as would painting them white along with the rest of the doors in the house we are painting. the problem is he wants to paint the bifold door and the door to the outside dark grey... but paint the pocket door (which leads to the hall) white because he thinks it's less "weird" to have 2 different colors for doors in the bathroom than it would be to have a door with a different color on each side.

I prefer the deep end.... :)

Funny, but I don’t get water splashed either washing my hands or my face. Hubby splashes soapy drips all over at the same sink. One factor is whether one holds their hands down into the sink, versus holding them up above the sink. Pointing the tips of the fingers downward also helps contain splashes. As for the faucet that washes your face, I find it silly. Spit and a Kleenex will do that much washing. When I want my face washed, I want a steaming hot damp washcloth for a sinus or migraine headache, a nice wet facecloth for wiping, or enough water to take off a facial cleanser. That little squirt would have my hot washcloth cold, make me stand there forever to get the facecloth wet, and would never get the cleanser off my face. The name makes it sounds like it wants to do a nasal flush.

I have a copper sink in my powder room. The drain is from Premiere Copper. Most of the copper drains sold are just coated copper and not pure copper. Since the sink in my powder room gets only minimal use, that was fine but for the copper sink in my kitchen, I got a drain that is 100% copper so I don't have to worry about the plating wearing off. I was told that since the sink in the powder room doesn't have an overflow hole, I should NOT get the kind of drain that allows the sink to be filled. My master bathroom sink has an overflow hole and so does have the kind of drain apparatus that can be used to plug and fill the sink. When it was installed, I asked why the drain in the powder room didn't really "do" anything and was told that this was deliberately done because of the lack of the overflow hole.
