Nice gentle rain thus far. The plants seem to rejoice. The air smells moist like Hawaii. It's so unusual for us to have any summer rain especially this much of a soaker here in SoCA. By next week we'll surely have a burst of green shoots. My homegrown from grocery-bought pineapple should be the happiest thinking it's back in the tropics somewhere. The news speaks of winds but on the western slope of the mountains, the air is very still.
