Good morning! I recently purchased 6 mid sized Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Little Bunny' grasses with thebplan to split them in half and use in my window boxes and planters. from what I have read is that you shouldnt divide these grasses during flowering season but it doesnt exactly say why.

Will these make it from Sep-Nov in Massachusetts if I go ahead and divide these? It not the end of the world if thry dont come back next season.
