I have one of your same backsplash tiles, a sample, which I meant to use but the years crept by and that kitchen didn't happen. Back to your seating area. I was admiring your ottoman/table only to see it disappear in your final arrangement. As I am thinking about replacing my coffee table with such a foot-ready rest, I have to ask why you got rid of yours? Surely the feet in your house want a rest when tv watching? I am in the market for swivel/s. What brand/model are yours? Are you happy with them? Much obliged if you come back to comment. I've enjoyed every bit of your house that you've shared.

Still searching for something to fall in love with to put over my living room sofa. Some ideas but nothing I'm ecstatic about. Dining room still needs wall art too. I decided against the PB mirror. Searching, searching. Please post ideas if you have them. Thank you!

Great question! While our light sizing guide doesn't cover this exact scenario, it does mention the idea of using two chandeliers to light a long dining table. In that case, we recommend choosing a chandelier that is one third of the table's width instead of table's width minus 12. Perhaps we can adapt this advice for use in your family room. Your room is 21'x16'. Our standard ambient-chandelier advice suggests adding those numbers together and then looking for a chandelier that is that width/diameter, or 37 in your case. Maybe instead of doing that, you could look for two chandeliers that are about 25 inches in diameter (1/3 of 37 is 12, so 37-12=25). Then, each chandelier can be hung in its 'half' of the family room. The standard hanging height for a chandelier in ambient use is 7 feet above the floor. Of course, you can adjust this hanging height as needed, perhaps hang the chandeliers a bit higher, so as not to obstruct the TV. I hope this helps!

If you're not in a screaming hurry, maybe follow a few good local auctions to see what $ similar tables are getting? Talk to local antique dealers, but imho and imhe, they're all hurtin' as brown furniture isn't fashionable and they'll pay you peanuts because they seem to be stuck with stuff they paid big bucks for 30 years ago and won't let it go for a song ... I'm not entirely sympathetic to their predicament!! How about seeing if you can list them on 1stDibs? It's super high-end, beautifully curated, outrageously high prices if you believe the claims! Isn't there a listing for reputable antique dealers in the US? There is here in Canada. Google is your friend, no doubt. I'd be interested in the Baltimore one myself, but I'm guessing you're nowhere near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada? Or Frederick, MD?
