How is Miele washing machine?
Comments (9)They are supposedly introducing the W1 washer in the U.S. but nobody knows when. The US is different from the rest of the world in terms of many standards. But with Miele you can buy the compact 3038/48 or the Little Giant which is their professional machine for residential use. The Little Giant has a more powerful heater and more cycles. So they already have two for sale and possibly a third coming. No point in looking to the rest of the world and ask why things are not available here. If they are they are. If they aren't they aren't. Yes, they are expensive but worth it....See MoreExplain the love for the Miele tiny washing machines?
Comments (20)Thanks!! Well, after much thought and research this weekend, I'm sold on the Miele's and fine with the small capacity. I've learned a lot here, so thank you all! Now I am just making sure that there is anything so special about the little giants vs their new W1 and T1. From the calls I've made today, it seems people were mostly buying the little giants because that was the biggest they could buy for home use, and that reason now goes away with the W1T1. They do handle a bigger work load and should last longer, but that won't be important to me, considering the cost savings of not getting them. It seems the best feature of the Little giants was to add more water, but I'm just going by what I read and really have no knowledge about the subject. The little giants would have solved my layout problems because the door swing worked better for us, so you are right Rocogurl, but because spending 2k more for two washers to solve my problem seems crazy, I'm going to alter the laundry room design. We were only at the shop drawing stage. We have a drain in the room for a sink and another for the washer, so I'll look at some configurations that will work within those parameters. Nothing will be perfect, but the room was never great anyway. So, it looks like 2 W1's and 1 T1. I don't want to stack them because I hate bending, so I am hoping to find room to put them side by side and on a platform. While a 2nd dyer seems nice, Im thinking the dryer is much bigger than the washer, so we can probably wash two loads and put both in the dryer. I don't dry things with elastics to help the longevity, BUT, because the heat pump dryer is supposed to be so much more gentle, I'm wondering if I'll wind up drying a lot more than I currently do. My clothes are not so special, but I just like my things to last. Any thoughts on if the new dryer will replace hang dry? That was a mouth full !!!...See MoreMiele W1 Washer T1 Dryer

Comments (3)there is a long thread on her ethat you can look at i do have one and like it. To answer your questions the washer drum isze is ok for us - you can put alot in there. The dryer cannot be overloaded or the clothes will wrinkle. Also, the clothes will feel slightly "damp" when first pulled out. In a minute or two in the air the mysteriously dry. You should tak ethem out when they are done to minimize wrinkles the heat pump really doesnt add an heat to the room drying times are reasonable. i dont think they are actually any longer than others dryers - maybe a few minutes i am 6'6" and dont mind the reach into the drum...See MoreRelated Professionals
