What to do with bathroom walls?

in our main floor bathroom, we have a big corner vanity. i was planning on putting up two builders grade mirrors but not sure that is the right decision. what would i put above the mirrors to fill that space? it’s awkward to look up close at your face in the mirror because the counters come out far and the sink is off center but the walls are huge and i dont know how to fill them. help me.

((there is also the toilet to the right and shower to the left. no bedrooms on the mainfloor and not taking vanity out at this time))

If not wanting to replace the vanity for now, I would get a small hand towel bar for the right wall and be done. Nothing needs to go above the mirror. When budget allows, replace the vanity with a standard size with bigger sink that can span just the one wall. Move the light switches closer to the door, then you could have a nice framed mirror above the vanity.

If it's the bath you send guests to, it would be nice to bling it out a bit. I would make a frame for the mirror, maybe a dark color similar to your countertop. Then hang something on the other wall to balance it, like this:

Yes it’s kind of narrow when in front of sink and mirror. It is the wall across from the vanity that gets the misjudged overspray. It’s not aerosol spray it’s a spritz. So it has larger droplets. Haha. The wall is not wall papered, it’s painted right now with a eggshell Paint. Ps. It has nothing to do with cheap or expensive hairspray. It has to do with the ingredients that causes destruction of my wall. Thanks to females in the family. Haha.

Hang 2 towel bars close to the rear of the tub for easy convenience, one above the other, 1 higher with hand towels and another lower for bath towels (hang towels on rods to see what height is best, before installation. I would hang 2 large pictures, matching size & frames (maybe black frames) center these 2 between the moved towel bars and the other end of the wall. I would also paint the walls a real color. Beige or off white is so blah. I wish everyone would get over whites & beige for all their wall paint. Why be boring and look like everyone else that has no ideas. Live a little. Do this in the rest of our home as well. Never go with the "in" thing because it is "in". Life is too short. Be an independent thinker.

Home: 1910 farmhouse in the city, with dark walnut trim all over. Bathroom trim painted white, tested positive for lead. We've been advised by professionals, safest thing is to paint over, since we have kiddos (one of which has disabilities). Otherwise we'd love original unpainted dark trim in bathroom. Bathroom: 4.5' wide (just over 5' wide where tub is) 6.5' long Ceiling 8' Layout: will stay same - toilet next to sink, next to bathtub. Floors: 3" porcelain white matte tile. Will stay unless I find a under $200 option to replace. Walls: We don't know what to do to work with square floor tiles. Options that work from the 1900 era are - subway tile, wainscot, beadboard, paint, a combination, or just wallpaper with trim again. Budget: under $1000 I included photos of inspiration I had & photos of door to bathroom, looking into bathroom from hallway, & view out of bathroom from tub. The hallway outside bathroom is only 2.7" wide so I can't step back further to get a better picture. Is dusty from me tearing down wallpaper & working on hallway walls. 🌪️ It's small. But we love it. ❤️

IMO TP is never a decor item so remove that little shelf thing and hang some art there . As for a mirror I do not think 2 is the answer.I would do a corner medicine cabinet this one is from Amazon that is it for that spotit has a mirror and wpould look right above the sink. I never undestand the need for a shower when there are no bedrooms nearby so when the time comes to redo this bathroom I would eliminate the shower

Maybe a corner mount medicine cabinet? Or leave what you have and add a pull-out wall mounted shaving mirror on the right side. I wouldn't put anything above the mirror.

I can see what other folks are saying, but with the way you stand at the vanity, I think I'd add another flat mirror on the right, just the length of the counter. Then put art on the wall between that and the toilet, or over the toilet if that's where the larger space is.

I had a corner sink when I was younger and I think we had two mirrors. I liked it.

I would have two mirrors and extend the mirror up to align with the top of the door frame.

I think you'd feel better with a new vanity and centred sink, prettier mirror and why aren't there lights above it like most homes have?
