how to place mirror in bathroom remodel?

last year

My talented husband is building a new, larger vanity with linen closet on the wall that used to hold a single vanity cabinet with sink. In the new cabinetry, sink is placed to right of center as per builder’s plumbing. We left electrical for light fixture in place centered above the sink. Question: Should I have a mirror custom cut to run the width of countertop, above that pesky electrical outlet and slightly below the light fixture? Or should I put a white famed mirror from Lowe’s that is just slightly wider that the light fixture? (26” h x 33” w). This second option would keep up with current trend of framed mirrors above the sink, but would leave a blank wall between mirror and linen closet on the left. Which would be best?
