Fireblocking question

I was able to fire block 80% of the walls in my basement. But, the wall with all the plumbing for the laundry and a few upstairs faucets makes fire blocking near impossible. Is it OK to just put drywall on the backside of the studs like it is an interior wall? The space behind this wall opens up into an unfinished area where the electric panel and furnace are. Thank you for any tips.
