help with kitchen paint color to warm up off-white cabinets

Hello! Our kitchen cabinets are off-white but they read fairly white to us. We wanted them warmer. Anyway. There is not a ton of painting but a couple of big prominent walls. My best guess is to paint the walls a cooler white than the cabinets to make the cabinets look warmer by comparison. Is that correct?
It does make sense but my initial thoughts was that if we want to warm up the kitchen, which we definitely do, we should choose a warmer white.
There’s also the option of a color but maybe the principles are the same. I would love advice and insight. Thank you!
For context, it is a small and dark galley kitchen, with mostly artificial lights. Natural new oak floor. Brass pulls or knobs and lights. Thank you.

I think the cabinets look great. You just aren't used to the new brighter look! I would paint the walls the same color as the cabinets, but in a matte finish. This is a small space, so I would avoid chopping it up with "color blocking".

Warm things up with a beautiful wood cutting board, colorful bowls, real orchid, etc.

If your lights are LED you can choose between bulbs that produce warmer 2400k, 3000k, 3500k, or cooler white light 4000k, 4500k and 5000k. The right wall paint will be easier if you can include the actual paint color info for your cabs.

Have you looked at BM Ivory White? After weeks of mental turmoil between Linen White and Ivory White, I picked the Ivory White(still have my fingers crossed) for the kitchen cabs to go with my Colonial Gold granite. The walls in the family room and the little bit of walls in the kitchen will be BM Splendor. The Linen White seemed to be a little pinkish to me. The Ivory White wasnt in a paint deck but behind the counter at the BM store. Number 925-Classic Colors. Picking paint colors is tough!

Color info can be confusing but you have been given some good info above. This additional info may help: what does hue mean? hue means color, i.e. red, yellow, blue. Value means lightness or darkness. Baby blue is a pale or light blue; navy blue is a dark blue. Chroma means: does this color absorb light (look dark) or does it reflect light (look light). These aspects of paint are what make up the color and therefore make the difference in the look. If you are interested in the best white for your room, and you are uncertain which they are , check out the colors named above. They are some of the most used and best white colors from BM. Buying large color samples, or buying a small can of paint for $7 and painting it on your wall is the surest way of finding what you like. Or you can just call Gil Shaefer and ask. I did that years ago with a decorator I saw in Architectural Digest....and we had a lively chat.

If you want to go with white I would match your trim, otherwise go for more of a contrast. The middle color looks pretty good with the cabinets, but I can’t tell for sure with the lighting. The cabinets don’t look like a cool white to me, they look like a fairly neutral white. The backsplash is a warmer neutral, maybe match it.

The color pictured above is better than the dark stain with the Alabaster in Option A. Be sure to view a sample door next to a sample of the flooring in your lighting before committing yourself. The lighting in showrooms is not likely to be the same as the lighting at home. Stains have undertones like paint colors, so you want to make sure the two wood tones aren't going to clash.

Our cabinets go to the ceiling, which is 9.5 feet. There's a part of the kitchen aside from that where there's nothing on the walls – a short hallway/mudroom/rear door of our house – and that's where most of the paint will be.

I think a whiter white for your walls will show the warmth of your cabinets. Have you selected hardware? You might want to consider a warm gold tone like this kitchen,

The flooring, lights, and counters will all make a difference in how the cabinets read. What is the color on them?

The floor is natural oak. The counters are Spectrum Quartz Graceful. And the lights are ... well, I know bulbs are a whole distinct area now, but I can't answer that one. The fixtures are brass and amber. The hardware will be brushed or something like that brass. Also the faucet.

Thank you @chispa . Our plan was definition to use a fairly strong orange (SW Invigorate or something similar) to pull out the color of the backsplash. But you may well be right and we will definitely think about that before committing to orange! I am excited to go shopping for gorgeous kitchen stuff. Thanks so much!

You could also look at wallpaper if you are the eclectic type ... you can add pattern, yet keep it a light/bright color.

Consider painting the walls the same tone as the counters. You will have to do the match, but guessing B.M. Linen White (below). If you notice in this photo the lampshades are a touch off white. Combo makes for a warm design. Then continue you on with @chispa's idea of adding wood tones in accents. You've started warm wood with the floors.

Brass and amber fixtures imply accent lighting. Rask and ambient are additional segments. For light on the tomato you're thin slicing 450 lumens is a minimum at he counter. The light sources are placed above and 6" in front of your cutting spot to avoid shadows from your body. Two offset side-to-side sources like 4" cans further reduce shadowing. You can also use some under cabinet led lighting.
