Could you help me pick an office plant?
Comments (8)You can use the plant wizard below to view house plants by light level: http://www.houseplant411.com/pick-the-right-indoor-houseplant I feel like my office is pretty bright and it is ~14k lux and I am growing: Monstera deliciosa Philodendron Xanadu Chlorophytum Amaniense Syngonium podophyllum Sansevieria trifasciata One thing you got going for you is you can get the plant(s) close to the light and get higher light levels. Plants with low light requirements would be a safe bet, but if there something you like with medium light requirements I'd say give it a go because getting something you like and want is important. If it doesn't grow well you can probably find a brighter place for it at home near a window....See MoreStair runner pattern reco for stairs that get wider at botttom
Comments (13)Thank you to everyone for your input! I wanted to follow up just in case anybody else is struggling with the same decisions I was with a curved expanded bottom couple of steps in an old staircase. Despite some of the recommendations above, I did go with plaid and I absolutely adore it. So it can be done, but to get the lines to continue to flow in a consistent way took a ton of planning and hours of labor. But I love how it turned out. Thank you again for all the help And suggestions!...See MoreStair runner help!! How do I get them to fix this?
Comments (17)There is only one way to fix this and that is to fully carpet the upper stairs keeping to the left where my arrow is to show where you step juts out as well as to the right where again my arrow is where again your stair juts to the right. Follow these lines to the bottom which is centered between your posts. If the carpet store was out to measure this and do the layout they would have noticed this HOPEFULLY. If you did the measuring and ordering then you are stuck with a partial redo as this is the proper way to carpet these stairs. My image is crude but you get the idea....See MoreEntryway Rug, Runner & Stair Runner help
Comments (14)Thank you @everdebz! I’m new to the site so haven’t added any idea boards yet. I am actually going for a brighter look. Mix of contemporary/French/farmhouse. We will be renovating that living room you see from the foyer and it will have hardwood floors. We are not renovating the foyer but would like to tie in these styles.
