I recently renovated a small cottage having moved form a large house. The kitchen living dining is all one space I have a very old Persian rug that I want to use to anchor my seating area. I also have a very light gray sofa that I am tied to Its actually quite neutral. I am trying to decide what color chair would work well. im looking at the Ford chair from Room and Board. The floors are natural red oak and the walls are white

I was thinking blue... maybe slate ( no navy, shows too much dog hair) or something a little brighter like a royal or maybe even a different shade of gray. I tried ivory but it seemed off with the sofa

Ive taken several swatches home but noting jumps out at me

Any opinions out there?
