ikea kitchen non-ikea wall oven

hi all! planning an ikea kitchen, thinking of buying a bosch or samsung wall oven. will i need any extra parts, pieces, etc to make these fit? or will the cabinet (with spacer and panel) plus the oven come with eveyrthing i need to make it all work out? thanks in advance.

It is all in the specs. Read the specs. Of everything. Cabinets, appliances, countertops, lighting, NEC code book. You cannot get away from doing that homework. That is all part of designing a kitchen.

What they said above. ^^^. And yes it can be possible. We’ve had Siemens and Bosch in our IKEA kitchens. Works fine. But read the specs and dimensions. Good luck!

Cant happen without a very firm steel attachment to the floor and steel all the way around. Even a cabinet under it would need to be attached to the floor. Cantilevering that much Stone out from a wall would require completely reengineering the wall and lots and lots of steel.

I'm just going to say this in case - the wide Domsjö is two bowl sink. It never came any other way. Sektion has standard sized drawer fronts. Buy an extra 36" wide taller drawer front just in case you need it - you can always send it back. Sektion and Akrum cabinets had different sizes of drawer fronts. Stop by the kitchen area and ask about issues with installing the Domsjö sink in a Sektion cabinet. The Domsjö should come with replacement metal bar for the front & bar edges. The front metal bar takes the place of the top bar on the front and the back. You might need to cut down the back panel to fit under the bar. We did a simple reinforcement of the cabinet by adding plywood across the back on the inside of the cabinet under the bar and then attached the official cabinet back to the ply. Given a choice, I would buy ANY other white farmhouse sink and undermount kit. Eventho it's hundreds more. In our case, the sink wasn't quite deep enough - there was a wide gap between the sink and the wall in the back that was plugged with two tons of caulk. In the end, I named the sink the Rain of Terror because it dripped water everywhere and rotted the Ikea wood counter. If you use someone else's sink in an ikea cabinet, know that you may need to cut the cabinet top back as shown in @sh's photo because a 36" wide undermount sink is 36" wide at the front or near to it. The sink maker has an undermount kit (usually) that amounts to metal bars with screws under the sink. The bars stretch across the cabinet from side to side. Then, use your "extra" drawer front and carefully cut it to fit the front.

It appears that your built in microwave and wall oven are two separate units, notice the white cabinet strip between the two. These were made by KitchenAid / Whirlpool so will presumably still have models of the same height.

thanks both! i've been reading rhe specs and they're contradictory: for example, the cooktop says j-box has to be 12" from top, oven says j-box has to be 22" from bottom. standard cabinet is 30" tall.... which means the j-box for the two would have to occupy negative space!! and NEC code Section 220.55 permits households to wire a cooktop and up to two wall ovens together on the same circuit... but it's not clear to me from any of the specs whether i need to add amperes for both units or just work from the higher of the two.

30" over should fit into a standard 30" IKEA cabinet relatively well

We have 30" Gaggenau ovens installed into IKEA cabs. Buy the heavy duty ventilated shelf for the cabinet - that will allow you to put the shelf anywhere and it secures with both screws (and not pins) . And you can get any horizontal filler pieces you need from IKEA. I ended up hacking a microwave surround to be above both my wall ovens so that they aligned on the top and matched the micro.

My house is not crooked - my phone photo skills suck, though.

Take it for what it's worth: I completely demolished my condo kitchen and installed an IKEA one. I strongly recommend you skip the cooktop + oven and just buy a 30" range. There are so many things you have to do without this unnecessary task: planning, purchasing, demolition, floors, electrical, plumbing, rails, cabinets, drawers, doors, countertop, sink, faucet, disposer, backsplash, dishwasher, microwave/hood, refrigerator, lighting, paint...and for much of the time you don't have a working kitchen. Don't make it any harder than it needs to be! Just leave 30" an opening, make sure the 240 volt outlet is in the correct location, buy the range, plug it in, and shove it into position.
