bart....each hole on my drip tube emits .9 gallons per hour...so pretty much one gallon per hour. I find that for new plantings, I need to run the system for one hour a day in warm dry weather to get plants well established.

In dry, hard soil under large trees this has worked extremely well! I do check on everything each day to make sure each plant it happy. If unsure and testing a new system, be prepared to tweak things and supplement with extra water if the need arises. Once I ironed out the kinks in my system, it runs with almost no effort on my part!!

Here is the flowerbed on planting day...June 15, 2022. The "soil" in this part of the garden is terrible! I did not have high hopes when we planted this. It's a mixture of roses, shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Annuals are the "canary in the coal mine" plants...so it they are doing well, your system is working :)

And here is the bed on August 9, 2022...less than two months later! This was with watering for one hour a day.
