Comments (39)Come on over...Let's see right now you'll find 2 boys laundry on the love seat (#2 is the only one that moved it when I asked!) In front of the fire place is #2's socks he pulled off 20 minutes ago, and I see his pants there now too..that means he's around here somewhere in a tshirt and drawers! LOL Yep he just came down the hall...ROFLMAO One of the livingroom chairs has the tray that goes on the "big ottoman" in it with my beading box, a boys bicycle helmet and a shopping bag that needs to go back to the van. But the floor is swept, I did that a few hours ago! Kitchen is pretty clean too..and I wiped the bathroom down yesterday. And the cookie jar has fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in it! Oh wait, pants are back on the boy, socks disappeared as did his helmet. I like it when they listen and act so quickly...now to get the other two doing that...LOL...See MoreI need a hot plate in my laundry room.
Comments (33)My washer doesn't have a heater and my clothes look and smell clean and well cared for. My bedding is smooth, and white with a clean scent. You all know how I feel about cold water washing..give me hot. But 130 degrees f from a tap should be hot enough for the majority of laundry. Thats going to keep your whites white and your bedding free of body oils and smelling sweet. I don't believe for a second we need water hotter than that at least not for normal washing conditions. I realize many moons ago it was the standard to boil wash but that was before synthetic detergents..we now have Surfactants that actually clean clothing at less than extreme temperatures. And todays textiles are not designed for extreme temperatures, fabrics today just can't hold up to continious washing in some of the temps I've heard used. These extreme temps will damage clothing. IMO extremely hot water is fine for vintage linen or bed sheets that are 30+years old if your trying to get 30 years of built up body oils that have turned to wax out, or your trying to remove built up soap in washcloths out, or even if your trying to clean or whiten a modern day garment that would otherwise be trashed, but not as a standard procedure....See MoreI hate these columns... what do I put in place?
Comments (20)There's many small bathroom cabinets that would fit an 11" wide ledge: World Market: https://www.worldmarket.com/product/white+wood+maryella+bathroom+medicine+cabinet.do?sortby=ourPicksAscend&page=2&from=fn Overstock has a nice 10" deep cab but you'd need to ask if it has a finished back: https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Fresca-Allier-White-Bathroom-Linen-Side-Cabinet-with-2-Glass-Shelves/10650332/product.html?recset=1aea6085-0216-4ee9-9444-d620e7397fb5&refccid=SXKOCAHKGTK3RBSCINTA3V2OEA&recalg=872,873,839&recidx=1&keywords=small%20wal Amazon has one that's bamboo: https://www.amazon.com/Cabinet-Features-Adjustable-Interior-Shelves/dp/B073CF5LYT/ref=sr_1_30?ie=UTF8&qid=1500490426&sr=8-30&keywords=small+wall+cabinet+for+bathroom...See MoreWhat have you put up in 2020?
Comments (264)LOL, Jack, I don't know if a cow can get drunk, with their various stomachs and digestive system, but that's an interesting thought. I do have a neighbor that gets the spent grains from one of our local small artisan brewers and gives them to his pigs, they apparently love the stuff too. My cattle get hay and grass, that's all. I started raising grass fed beef after Dad had his heart bypass surgery and was advised to give up the fatty beef. Dad wouldn't stop eating beef, but he did agree to change to grass fed, which made the cardiologist a little bit happier, although not much. Dad's been gone for 12 years now, but I still have his old buggy horse in the pasture with the cattle, and my Morgan saddle horse was too, until he died. Too much grain will cause the horses to founder, and I don't have a way of separating them, so the cows are just out of luck! As for the sterile bull, Dallas said he had only one testicle and that one was "all shriveled up", the other one was just completely non existent. That's why he thought I'd maybe tried to castrate him and done a bad job. And, yes, Dallas always asks me if I want the "oysters". I've eaten them before, it's like chewing on rubber bands, so I always turn him down but many of his customers do want the testicles. Anyway, it appears that my only hope is riding on the "second string" player. Hopefully, he'll come through for me! Feeders are pretty cheap here too, but hay is expensive. I should have just about enough to get me through until spring. Any savings I'd realize by buying the cheap feeder calves would be offset by the expensive hay I'd have to buy to feed them! So, I'll hold my cards until spring, and see how things go. Merry Christmas! Annie...See MoreRelated Professionals
