We did not choose to go with Simonton because they have a F rating on BBB. We had Milgard Tuscany windows installed throughout the house instead, and no complaints. 

We have since moved and are installing new windows and sliders throughout. We were between Milgard and Anlin, and decided on Anlin because of the better warranty. Basically same price. Otherwise, I cannot comment on Milgard for the sliding doors since we only used them for windows. Best of luck.

Thanks. Where are you seeing an F rating? I can’t seem to find them on BBB at all? Is it under a different name? We like the way the slider glides. It seems smoother and easier than the Milgard. But we do like the extra security lock on the Milgard. I have not looked at Anlin.

Wow! Thanks for sharing that. We recently got all new windows and bought Simonton because we had heard Milgard was having some issues with their QC. We had one issue with one of the windows and they sent a tech out to fix it. We thought it was good service. But that is discouraging reading all of the bad reviews. I wonder if something has changed with the company since 2019? That’s when we got the first windows installed (we are doing our house in phases).

Hopefully you never run into issues, and the warranty complaints won't affect you. We had a small thing come up with our Milgard window too, and it got fixed without hassle. Their warranty is 10 years, but Anlin has a double lifetime warranty and 2 different companies sold us on some of their extra features. It was the same price, so we figured we would go with a better warranty.

We’ll take a look at Anlin too. Simonton has a double warranty. The 2 places I went to yesterday sold me on the customer service for Simonton. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I have to say the first set of windows we purchased (2019) looked different from those purchased in 2022. I wonder if the quality went down. I will have to see where Anlin is sold near us.

Same series? I know they have begun to move some series around change some branding , so you may run into that.

@frulu Picking windows is giving me an ulcer! First was going with Milgard and heard about problems, and then I was ready to sign with Simonton and ran across your F rating post. Mysteriously it's GONE and wiped clean! What did the reviews say??? The Simonton salesperson said they were the best at backing their warranty.

@jenwinston73 Did you end up buying Anlin and are you satisfied, or did you go with Simonton? (see my comment above).

The company that I worked for after retirement was one of my old/best dealers. They are primarily a wood window supplier with the two major being Andersen and Marvin.

They did have two vinyl company windows and doors in their showroom (Milgard and Simonton)

Of the two, I liked the features of the Milgard Tuscany door more than Simonton. In our case, the Simonton was less expensive (not a lot).

I have seen Anlin in other showrooms but am not too familiar with them but heard they are a good product.

I would just look/compare the Milgard and Anlin doors in person to make your choice,
